How to Build a Church Management App

   Define your church management needs

   Churches typically track: member profiles, attendance per service, small group membership, volunteer roles, giving records, and pastoral notes. Start with the highest-priority area for your team.

   Describe the app to Appaca

   Tell Appaca: "Build a church management app with members (name, email, phone, household, join date, membership status, small group), service attendance logs, volunteer roles and schedules, and a dashboard showing attendance trends by week."

   Add your member directory

   Enter each member with their contact info, household, and status (regular attendee, member, guest). This becomes your searchable directory for pastoral follow-up.

   Log weekly attendance

   After each service, record attendance (manually or with a check-in system). The attendance trend shows congregation growth and identifies members who may need follow-up.

   Organize small groups

   Link each member to their small group(s). Small group leaders can log attendance and notes. The dashboard shows group health at a glance.

   Manage volunteer rosters
