How to Build a Fleet Management App

   List your fleet and what you track

   For each vehicle: make, model, year, plate number, current mileage, assigned driver, insurance expiry, registration expiry, and service schedule. These are your core data points.

   Describe the app to Appaca

   Tell Appaca: "Build a fleet management app with vehicles (make, model, plate, mileage, assigned driver, insurance expiry, registration expiry), a maintenance log per vehicle, a mileage log (driver, date, start/end mileage, purpose), and a dashboard showing vehicles with overdue maintenance or expiring documents."

   Add your vehicle inventory

   Enter each vehicle with its current mileage and key dates. Focus on insurance and registration expiries first - these have legal implications.

   Assign vehicles to drivers

   Link each vehicle to its primary or current driver. Drivers can be prompted to log mileage after each trip.

   Set up maintenance schedules

   For each vehicle, add upcoming service items: oil change due at X miles, annual service due in March. The dashboard alerts you when maintenance is coming up.

   Log mileage per trip

   After each business trip, log start mileage, end mileage, driver, and purpose. This creates an audit trail for tax reimbursement and fleet planning.
