Google Calendar

Authorize Google Calendar so apps and coworkers can list events and create or update them.

The Google Calendar connector lets Appaca read calendars and create events for the connected Google account. Apps can also update events. Connectors require a paid plan.

Authorize it

Workspace owners and admins can connect Google Calendar.

  1. Open Google Calendar settings

Go to SettingsConnectors and select Google Calendar.

  2. Set Access

Choose Everyone in this workspace or select individual members.

  3. Connect Google Calendar

Select Connect, choose the Google account, and approve access.

  4. Assign the connector

Open the app or coworker’s SettingsConnectors, enable Google Calendar, and select Save.

What apps and coworkers can do

  • Coworkers can preview upcoming events, search events, and create events.
  • Apps can list calendars and events, create events, and update events.

Limits worth designing around

The connector only sees calendars available to the connected account. It does not delete events. Include a timezone when asking Appaca to create or update an event.

When something cannot be found

Confirm that the connected Google account can see the calendar, then confirm that Google Calendar is assigned to the app or coworker. If access has expired, disconnect and reconnect the connector.
