Storage is the workspace’s file list. Owners and admins can open Storage from the account menu.
Files arrive from chats and apps. You cannot upload directly from the Storage page.
Where files come from
- Chat attachments. Workspace, coworker, and app chats accept up to five files per message. Add files one at a time, with a maximum of 10 MB each.
- App files. An app can upload or create files as part of its work.
- AI-generated files. Generated images and audio show an AI Generated badge.
Browse and inspect files
-
Open Storage
Files appear newest first. Choose Load more to continue through the list.
-
Select a file
Images show a preview and audio files show a player. Other file types show their details.
-
Open or delete it
Choose Open file to open the file in a new tab. Use the delete action to remove it after confirming.
The detail drawer can also show Open app, an AI Generated badge, file type, size, and creation date. There is no search, filter, rename, folder, move, bulk selection, or bulk export.
Storage usage
The page header shows how much of your available storage you have used. The same figure appears on the Usage page in Settings alongside your apps, coworkers, and members.
If usage is high, review old chat attachments and generated files you no longer need.
Who can open Storage
Storage is available to workspace owners and admins. Members do not see the link and are redirected if they navigate there directly.
They can still use apps that read and write files, and still attach files to their own chats. What they cannot do is browse the whole workspace’s files or delete anything.
