Connecting Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT

Connect Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT to an Appaca workspace and manage the connection.

Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT can connect to Appaca as Connected agents. This feature requires an active paid plan.

The connection flow

  1. Add Appaca's MCP address in the client

    Add your Appaca URL ending in https://work.appaca.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server.

  2. Sign in to Appaca

    Start the connection in the client. It opens Appaca in your browser.

  3. Review permissions

    Review the actions under This will allow [client] to:.

  4. Choose the workspace

    Under Choose a workspace, select an eligible workspace and then select Allow access.

  5. Verify the connection

    Ask the client to list your Appaca apps.

Add the connection in your client

Cursor: Add the https://work.appaca.ai/mcp URL as a remote MCP server.

Claude: Add a custom remote MCP server and enter the https://work.appaca.ai/mcp URL.

ChatGPT: Add the https://work.appaca.ai/mcp URL as a custom MCP server. Availability depends on your ChatGPT plan.

What a connected client can do

The client receives only the permissions shown on the Appaca approval screen.

A Connected agent cannot manage Connectors, Coworkers, Pulses, Knowledge, workspace settings, or billing. It cannot delete apps.

Reviewing and disconnecting

Workspace owners and admins can go to Settings → Connected agents and select Disconnect. Reconnecting the same client to the same workspace replaces its previous connection.

Keeping it safe

Review the client’s data-handling and approval settings. Disconnect clients you no longer use.
