Documentation

Overview

Upload the documents your apps and coworkers should answer from, and assign them where they are needed.

Knowledge turns supported uploaded documents into sources that apps and coworkers can reference. Use it for stable business context such as policies, playbooks, catalogs, and reference material.

Supported uploads are PDF, XLSX, XLS, DOCX, TXT, and CSV, with a maximum file size of 10 MB per upload.

Add reliable Knowledge

  1. Choose an authoritative source

Upload the current document, remove redundant copies, and give it a title that identifies its owner and purpose.

  2. Upload the file with its tags

Use a supported format no larger than 10 MB, and split very large material by topic first. Add any tags now, because tags cannot be changed after upload.

  3. Wait for it to reach Ready

A source only becomes available once processing finishes. Deal with a failed source before assigning it, since a failed source contributes nothing.

  4. Assign and test

Assign the source to the intended app or coworker and ask questions whose answers you can verify against the original.

Knowledge versus Data and Storage

Use Knowledge for reference documents. Use Data for structured records that apps filter and update. Use Storage for chat attachments and files produced or used by apps.

Source maintenance

Treat Knowledge as managed reference material. Replace outdated policies, use tags consistently, and test after significant document changes. If two sources conflict, resolve the content or define source priority in coworker instructions.
