Chats

Work interactively with a coworker, follow what it is doing, and understand how much of a conversation it remembers.

A Coworker chat combines your request with the Coworker’s saved Instructions, Knowledge, Connectors, and MCP servers.

  1. Open a Coworker

Open Coworkers and select the Coworker you want to use.

  2. Start the chat

Enter a request in Ask anything and send it.

  3. Continue or rename

Continue with follow-up messages. Select the chat title to rename it.

Following what a coworker is doing

  • Thoughts shows additional reasoning when available.
  • Tool rows show actions such as web searches, scripts, Data access, image generation, and connector calls.
  • The stop button cancels the current response without deleting the chat.

When a coworker asks you something

A Coworker can pause and ask questions. Choose an option or enter an answer, then select Submit. If the same question appears repeatedly, add the answer to the Coworker’s Instructions.

What a coworker remembers

A Coworker uses the current chat’s history. Long chats may summarize older messages, so put lasting rules in Instructions. Separate chats do not share their conversation history.

Attaching files

Use the attachment button to add up to five files, each up to 10 MB. Attachments apply to that message. Add a file to Knowledge when it should be available across chats and Pulses.

Coworker chats and workspace chats differ

A Coworker chat always uses that Coworker’s configuration. A workspace chat is a general conversation where you can choose resources for the conversation and use @ mentions for Data tables.

What members can do

Members can chat with Coworkers assigned to them but cannot open Coworker settings. Workspace owners and admins manage assignments from SettingsMembers.
