Knowledge and connectors

Assign documents and authorized external services to a Coworker.

A Coworker’s Knowledge provides saved documents. Connectors and MCP servers provide tools for external systems. These features require a paid plan.

Assigning Knowledge

  1. Open Knowledge settings

Open the Coworker’s Settings and select Knowledge.

  2. Choose sources

Use Search knowledge… and enable the sources the Coworker needs.

  3. Save the Coworker

Select Save. Assigned Knowledge is available in future chats and Pulses.

Only Knowledge that finished processing appears. If a source is missing, check its status on Knowledge.

Assigning connectors

  1. Open Connectors settings

Open the Coworker’s Settings and select Connectors.

  2. Choose connectors

Enable connected services. Select Connect beside an unavailable service to open workspace connector settings.

  3. Choose MCP servers

Under MCP Servers, enable any custom servers the Coworker needs.

  4. Save the Coworker

Select Save. Assignments apply to future chats and Pulses.

Assignments are per coworker, not per chat

Knowledge, connector, and MCP server assignments apply to every chat and Pulse for that Coworker. Attach a file to a message when it is needed for only one request.

Data tables are always available

Data is not assigned. A Coworker can find workspace Data tables, read and change records, and add fields. It cannot create a new table. Add limits to Instructions when the Coworker should not change Data.

Knowledge, Data, and attachments

  • Knowledge is saved reference material for every chat and Pulse.
  • Data contains structured workspace records.
  • Attachments apply to one message.
